Logging in new alarm fobs

I posted this on the K1600 forum but got no responses, so I'll try it here too.

One of my two fobs wasn't working at delivery, so my dealer ordered me a replacement. Two months later it finally showed up, with no instructions on how to log it on to the security system.

I found the directions in the manual (page 68), but it only seems to let me log in one remote. The second one doesn't give me the beep after the log on, and when I turn off the ignition I get the 3 beep confirmation, but only one remote works. I've tried both remotes, and it seems that whichever one is logged on first is the only one that works. If I change the order the new remote works, but the old one no longer functions.

Anyone else have this issue? Any ideas?

Re: Logging in new alarm fobs

Mine came with two that I have not activated yet. I don't think I ever used the one that came with my K1200LT except once to hear what it sounded like.

Just thinking out loud, Maybe we can use that "noise" that is used for the alarm for the horn?

Re: Logging in new alarm fobs

My bike came with two pre-programmed alarms.
