Rear tire

The correct rear tires are in at Revzilla now. I received my Metzeler Roadtec Z8 Interact C today. 257.00 total.

Re: Rear tire

How many miles did you get from the original? Mine is looking a little flat in the middle with only 4000KM.

Re: Rear tire

My first tire has life in it. I am going on a vary long trip and do not want to worry about riding home on a a used up tire. My plan is to put the new tires on and just before I leave and keep the first set in the garage for a spare set.

Last fall I ran into a problem with no rear Metzler tires in the whole country for my LT. I don't want to be in the same situation again.

Re: Rear tire

Good call on getting the tires in early and changing before a long trip. I usually do the same, and having some half-worn tires in the garage as backup has saved me, too.

Besides, fresh rubber always feels great, and it sure beats the alternative.

Some people see the gas tank as half empty. Some see it as half full. All I care is that I know where the next tankful is coming from...

Re: Rear tire

You just have to remember to break in the fresh rubber for the first 50-100 miles to get ride of the slippery stuff....

At least that is what I have heard and read.

Great advise. Peace of mind is the perfect way to start a trip
Even before I clicked on the alternative I had the picture in my mind.
