I have seen the future
While working part time in Dubai I decided to visit the local BMW shop in hopes of buying a BMW of Dubai shirt or something. Well their stocks are depleted due to the more tolerable temperatures so everyone is riding and buying. While talking to two riders and the sales rep, I mentioned how I had noticed that there are no K12LT's on the floor (mostly GS, R12, and cpl K12s, and 3 nice RRs). The sales rep had a very good explanation for the lack of any LTs. "They dont make them anymore". Well ok CAPTAIN OBVIOUS, then he goes on to say "we are making room for the new 1600 and whips out the sales brochure that he obtained while at the Munich show. OHHHHHHHHHHHH MY, So as we were talking he stated that he thinks a lot of the LT owners will be disappointed as it is more of a sport/tour as is the GT and said that it is more along that platform that the GTL is built with the removable bags. The instrument cluster looks great with the GPS built into the dash and not mounted as an after thought.
