David Robb (VP of design) interview

Was on BMW's microsite for the K1600 GT / GTL today and they added an interview with David Robb, Vice President of motorcycle design for BMW. Pretty interesting stuff - Can't wait to see photos of these bikes. Just a month to go if they do bring them to Intermot.

Got to below site and the click on the interview in the upper right

Kewl find! Thanks. I especially enjoyed the part where he explained the differences between the GT and the GTL and the fact that they will be or better are completely different bikes, which just happen to share the same platform.

Great find.

Loved the picture of the glowing headlight rings when you click on the 1600 at the very end.

I am a bit nervous about price and when they are touting it as an experienced rider machine, I hear it as a financially mature rider.

A great watch and thanks for the post!

I found that watching these videos was easier with the sound off, as German is distracting to me. YMMV. This was a great find...thanks.

Re: David Robb (VP of design) interview

Nice videos and interesting perspective from Herr Robb

According to him, we have to expect substantial differences between the GT and the GTL, not just cosmetic touches

Re: David Robb (VP of design) interview

Nice interview! Not much details about GT/GTL yet. More focused on 6 cyclinder platform which will be the common basis for most upcoming new motorcycles from BMW, I think.

And there are so many kinds of translation software on the net, yet we get Herr Robb doing his Harry Caray impression, auf Deutsch. Nothing to get all ga-ga about.
