What's up with the Nav V?

Hey Fellows - I just recently bought K1600 and came with this non functioning Nav V system. The device turns on but the screen has just these lines (image attached). What do you guys believe the issue is? and is it doing the fix or just get a new one?

That does not look good.

I would try plugging it in to charge for a while, then hold in the power button for 30 sec and see if it can reset. I would then plug it into a computer to see of it can connect to the Garmin software. You may also want to check the battery, or try a different one, if you know someone else near by that has one.

It's possible the video driver is fried... But I would try the other things first.

Re: What's up with the Nav V?

If the reset idea doesn't work, I would encourage to just contact Garmin Support. Over the years I've had Garmin products, I've found them to be very responsive, including replacement of a unit that was WAY out of the warranty period.
