Hello, New K1600GTL (trike) rider

Iím formerly a 1200RTW rider, but because of recent back and hip surgery, I no longer felt confident riding a 2 wheeler, even one as maneuverable as the 1200RTW. By happenstance I came across a very low mileage 2014 1600GTL which had undergone a Hannigan trike conversion. After many miles of test riding, I decided to make the switch, despite my misgivings about losing the ability to lean the turns, it was the right decision for me. The trike is a head turner, the ergonomics are great, and the 6 cylinder engine is incredible. I still have the 1200, and may ride it again after I regain my confidence of low speed maneuverability. At any rate, Iím happy to join this forum, and wonder if there are any other trike owners here.

Hi. We have similar experiences. I had a 1200 and moved to a GTL with Hannibal conversion. I have since passed my 1200 on to a relative who can use it.

I like be the trike. Took some getting used to riding it.

Good luck.

How long have you had the trike? What year? Any issues?

Bought it new in 2015.
Hardest part was realizing it is not a motorcycle and learning to drive.
Push with outside hand pull with inside.
Love it.
