Help needed with clutch

I have a 2014 1600 GTL exclusive and I replaced the clutch friction plates. Installation seemed to go fine, but once back together when I went to test the clutch lever would not budge. I am baffled because nothing related to replacing friction plates should affect the hydraulic engagement system of the clutch. I did bleed the clutch after that, but something from that side of the bike into the clutch basket it seized up for some reason. I do have a BMW service manual for this bike and followed the procedure step by step. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
