Question Arm rests on newer bikes??

I have been considering a BMW K1600 GTL but my girl likes the arm rests on my Harley Ultra. I noticed the 14-16 Exclusives had them. Did BMW do away with arm rests (she likes to ride 2 up) but feels she would be more secure with the arm rests? Do I have to buy a used 2016 or earlier Exclusive or does BMW off the arm rests as an option? Would also need the navigation (which comes with Harley) but looks like that is an an expensive option on BMW's, is it??

Re: Arm rests on newer bikes??

You could either buy an Exclusive with them already mounted, or have them added with OEM parts to a GTL, but I don't know how GTLE armrests would fit on a GTL as the pillion portion of the GTLE seat is larger and the top case may be positioned differently to accommodate the change in the seating. Here is a link to the MAX BMW parts fiche which shows all of the related (expensive) pieces on a GTLE:

You would probably have better luck posting queries on the K1600 forum, a sister to this site. Although the BMW LT site has a forum devoted to the K1600GT/GTL, I think most K1600 owners that have transitioned from the K1200LTs to the K1600's (like myself) also move over to that site.
