Lithium Battery for GTL?

Just ordered my new 1600 GTL and am considering trading the OEM battery for an Antigravity Lithium Battery. Pros? Cons?'

I'm wondering it there is any parasitic current draw from any of the GTL systems when the motorcycle is turned off.

Thanks

Re: Lithium Battery for GTL?

If your GTL is new why not wait until the warranty is done.
Yes I know about the lighter weight and higher cranking amps of the 36ah batteries. It looks like the highest power Antigravity battery is a 20ah. Shorai makes a 36ah but it requires a special charger. I do like Li batteries but will be waiting until my batteries are out of warranty before replacing them. I do keep mine charged and on a conditioner when I am not going to be using a bike for an extended time.

I got a credit for the OEM Battery when I ordered the bike. Looking into Shorai now. Antigravity requires special care or a special conditioner as well. If and when I order it, I will look at a "conditioner" too and a permeant pigtail to hook it up to.
