I cannot believe it, but it is true. Not for me.

BMW enthusiasts won't buy it. Non-BMW riders won't buy it. I predict it will not last longer on the market than did the R1200C.

Ain't my cup of tea but it looks as good as any bikes in that genre. Not every bike BMW builds will appeal to every BMW owner much like not not every Honda appeals to every Honda owner.

That is a very strange bike for BMW. Trying to appeal to the bar hopper crowd is puzzling.

Re: Concept 101

Nope, not for me. Not at all . . .

However, it's just a design study, an exploration of what's possible given free reign, merely a concept, just as they said. It, or something like it, may or may not ever make it into production.

But if it does, I do pity any potential passengers, who are likely to just slide right of the back of that sloped saddle.

I do kinda like the exposed clutch cover though. At least you could easily see if it's using too much oil.

Hmm, maybe they should've added a clear water pump cover as well . . .

Seems more like a design copy instead of a design study.

Tell me that's not a F6B knockoff...

For me the F6B works, but this BMW concept version doesn't quite work. Maybe I can't shake the idea of the old station waggons back in the day.

The problem with the Honda is that they cheap out. No ABS and they didn't have cruise until this year. Even with the GW in order to get ABS the $28k model has to be bought. That's a lot of money for 15 year old technology. The thing to remember is the prototype roland sands did for the R9T. The real thing is selling well and doesn't look as "artsy". My guess is the production 101 will be more palatable.

Since this thread is awake again... Riding with 3 other Harley owners at Sturgis and each one was intrigued by the bike... Kind of the same way years ago some Harley owners started looking at Victory.
