GTL passenger floorboards

I am thinking about switching from a LT to either a GT/GTL. Is there any chance the BMW passenger floorboards from the LT would fit the GTL?

Dale,
Ilium Works makes a set for the K1600. If you have the stock rear pegs for the LT I would remove the foot boards & sell them separately as you will not get much for them on the bike.

Thanks, good advice. My wife likes the BMW floorboards, so I was hoping a swap could happen. It also looks like I would probably need aero wings, and windshield in an attempt to keep her as comfortable as on the LT. I think some test rides are in order.

The 3 things we needed to make Sammie & I comfortable on the GTL were the Aeroflow windscreen & wings, Plus a custom seat. All the other things I did were just icing on the cake.

Make sure you bring the check book for that test ride.

Re: GTL passenger floorboards

You're right about bringing the check book for the test ride Stevie. I went to the local dealer to check on the maintenance history of a 05 LT. Ended up paying the deposit for a K1600GTL-E! Just waiting for it to be delivered. Drool drool...

Thinking of getting the GLT cover from BMW. Is anybody using it? Is it any good for desert summers?

In short….bikeless (for now)

I almost did something very similar. I think just a matter of time before I'm on a GTL.

Re: GTL passenger floorboards

I did bring my checkbook and the deal was done. I got the Ilium boards, windshield and wings, plus the Sena S20. 3K miles now and we love the bike, but still need to work on the seat.
