Transmission & Final Drive Oil Change

I am getting ready to change the fluids in my K1600 and see that BMW recommends Castrol 75W90 synthetic oil but I can't find the volume required for the transmission or final drive. Does anyone know how much oil each one takes?

First the Transmission is part of the Motor & shares the motor oil so you only need to change the FD unless your changing the motor oil too. If so the motor holds 4.75 quarts but will hold 5 quarts. Put in the first 4 then start the bike. Add 5th quart while bike is running. if you do NOT start the bike after 4 qts you will not get all 5 qts in.
The FD holds 200ML

Some people see the gas tank as half empty. Some see it as half full. All I care is that I know where the next tankful is coming from...

About 6 months after the K1600 came out there was a service bulletin stating to use 200ML not 180Ml. it is some where on the K1600 Forum but I just can't find it right now. I think RL posted the update.

Re: Transmission & Final Drive Oil Change

180ml is the correct amount. I use a bottle and fill it to about 190ml and get as much in as possible. Emptying all the oil from a container is difficult. I figure I get something more than 180 and less than 190 in it. That'll do.
