Speaker Static

I have a 2012 K1600GTL. We were out one night and after starting the bike I thought I was hearing fire works, not so, it was the speakers. Turns out I have static, cracking noise, with the radio off or on does not matter. Also removed the GPS to no avail it still made the noise, any thoughts? Thanks Mark
