Cigarette Lighter

Have anyone added a cigarette lighter on the GTL?

Was wondering what location would be the easiest. I was thinking about a location close to the existing BMW plug by the battery on the right side.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Re: Cigarette Lighter

What are you trying to power up? Perhaps there's a better cable already made out there somewhere.

Powerlet makes several BMW-plug-to-cigarette-socket cables and adapters.

Or you could hard wire one in yourself. The trick is finding a decent location that's easy to get to, has enough room behind the panel, and won't break off when in use.

And be sure to fuse it as low as possible to minimize potential problems.

Some people see the gas tank as half empty. Some see it as half full. All I care is that I know where the next tankful is coming from...

I see Harley riders do it all the time. But I suppose it would be hard to do with a full face helmet.
