What year does this fit?

I made a trip over to see Dave Bullock and picked up a few spare parts last weekend. When I got home I discovered that the spare drive I picked up was for a different year than my 2003. I was hoping somebody could tell me what year this one fits. I am curious ig I could make a plug for the sensor hole and make it work on my bike? I had planned on doing a rebuild and keep it on the shelf in case anybody, including me needed one. The first pic is of the used one. The second one is of my drive on the bike. Thanks for all the help

Re: What year does this fit?

If memory serves (and at my age it never does) there's a different gear ratio..............

2006 R1200RT
2005 K1200LT Ocean Blue
2003 K1200LTE Black
Totaled Oct 2, 2010
2006 Kawasaki Vulcan 2000

Re: What year does this fit?

That is a rare and prized unit for the 99-early 2001 that had a separate pickup for he speedo. Once they went to integral brakes they used the rear ABS sensor.

But in a pinch you could use it but you would have to plug that hole. Gear ratios are different old one is 2.75:1 33:12 and the newer ones are 2.62:1 34:12. Not a big difference.

The way I see it I have $45 into this one. $25 is what i paid for it and $80 worth of gas to go get it divided by 4. I picked up 4 items that day so that is why I added $20 for its share of the gas. I don't know if that is cheap enough for you. I would rather trade for one to fit my bike but I do not really need this one. So Robert when are you coming to Minnesota to pick it up?

Thanks for the info guys. I was thinking it was the early models. It would be nice to have a little lower gear though.

Re: What year does this fit?

I have been wanting a spare, and I happen to be moving to Minnesota in late June, if you still have it then, I want it. I am moving to Duluth, not really close but it would be worth the trip.

Re: What year does this fit?

Sumbich.
Ok, now I have done it. 2 Guys want the drive. Robert sort of asked first, I think? Dinocarsfast looks like he accepted my price before Robert posted. My dilemma is who was actually first? I do not even want to start a bidding war because this group of people have been so great for me I do not need to make a profit. What would the rest of you do?

Re: What year does this fit?

Kind of a standard rule of thumb is the first poster should be given first shot to buy. Just my 2 cents. Also we don't know what transpired in PMs.

OK so who was really first?

Dinocarsfast PMed me first that he would like it.

Scouter50 PMed me later even though he was the first to post that I could sell it to him "Cheap"

Here is how I am leaning.
I am thinking Scouter50 has the lead. Besides in his picture he has a blonde beard like me.
I don't want to piss off the soon to be neighbor either.

Let me know if I am doing the wrong thing.

Re: What year does this fit?

Sell it to Scouter50 but if that falls through and you still have it in July I want it and BTW I had a nice beard until a weeks ago when I cut it off for the summer. I look forward to being neighbors.
