Lightbulb temp

My uncle ''THE REAL SKIP'' thought he was going to adjust his head light by turning the temp sensor under the fairing, now the temp is way off ,is there a way to fix , we stuck a ice cube to the probe and it did change the temp but i think it's shot , anyone els had this bright idea to turn the temp Cesare for the head light adjustment

Have you taken it off of there and unplugged it? Untwist the wires and plug it back in. It may take up to 12 hours to show the correct temperature again. Mine did after a nose cone removal last winter.

If it still wont work, you may have to have a lookie and see if you have not broken any wires.
the outside insulator of the wire may look ok, but the wires in side could be snapped.
