Lower fairing, where to get them?

I am looking at a K1200LT that is missing the lower fairings. It is missing the rubber bumpers, chrome and the silver lower parts. I found the silver parts on E-bay for reasonable prices, but not the chrome or the rubber bumpers.
The bike is priced right I think for its condition and the missing parts. Owner said they were cracked from being dropped (surprise, surprise) and he just removed them.
Is there a source other than the dealer for these parts?

Re: Lower fairing, where to get them?

You can try beemer boneyard but they won't have any (I'm pretty sure). As for the bumpers (which are actually black plastic), seen below as part 1, at $30 a piece it might be worth just getting them at the dealer rather than pulling your hair out.

As for part 3 in the picture, they do show up on ebay from time to time such as this one. They are few and far between and will often run about $70ish each by the time the auction ends although you can occasionally find them for less (I got lucky last fall and picked up a pair for about $50 - good, not great condition). If you buy them from the stealer be ready to shell out $100 for silver, and $135 for chrome each.

If you go to beemerbone yard, anything that says description is out of stock.

Seek out Green Town Motorcycle Parts. They are a large motorcycle salvage company. A friend of mine recently purchased LT wiring harness from them. They do have most of the body parts available. http://members.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI...otorcycleparts

Re: Lower fairing, where to get them?

I have a number of body parts from an '09 LT that have damage (ranging from scratches to a repairable hole). One of those is the lower fairing panel - I can't recall at the moment if it's the left or right side, but it's a start. Email me (preferred) or PM if you're interested.

I believe that I have all three pieces of the lower fairing available. I will check over the weekend when my daughter is here. Just had double knee surgery this week, so need to have her shimmy back to that area for me.

Send me an email [at] aol <dot> com if interested (not PM here, out of space).
