Fastener Size: Steering Damper to Fork Bridge

Replaced the front shock assembly this afternoon. Figured I'd sevice the damper while I'm there. Is the bolt holding the damper body to the fork bridge a T-30 fastener? Don't want to guess wrong and strip it, especially since I understand that BMW didn't spare the locktite. Thanks!

Your timing is impeccable! I am in the process of replacing my front brake lines and just re-installed the front shock so I went to the garage and checked for you. The bolt is a T40, not T30; at least it is on the 05 LT.

Re: Fastener Size: Steering Damper to Fork Bridge

I tried the T30 first and it wouldn't even hold so you would have been safe anyway.
