2009 radio on button

The on button on my radio stays lit. With key off is this normal?

Re: 2009 radio on button

First click from the run position is the accessory position. It will be lit in that position. You can remove the key in that position. Poorly designed. Second position is at about 7:00 and is the lock position which requires the bars to be turned fully left or right. The key can be removed in that position. The button does not light there or in the park position which is about 6:00 and leaves the tail lamp and small marker lamp in the headlamp assembly lit.

Yes it stays on for a while and then goes off. In fact the radio will auto shut down after 2 hours even while riding. This applies to the 05 and up only. There is a setting you can change to keep it on while riding more than 2 hours.
