EHCS PART

Being the idiot that i am i cracked the cap on my EHCS. anybody have any ideas on where I can possibly buy one? Looks like BMW just sells the whole actuator, but I just need the cap.Thank you

Scott here are a few pics of some repairs to the end cap. The aluminum plate adds support to the repaired ear and should really be cut to land on the inner ring to support the cap better. As you tighten the nuts they should turn easily and the gap on both ends of the cylinder should fully close. If the gap on the body side is NOT closing and the nuts start to tighten, STOP. Back off and recheck that both springs are seated properly on the body spring rest otherwise you risk breaking another ear trying to close the gap. Once the gap is closed snug up the nuts to no more 7-9 Nm of torque. If it leaks take it apart and clean the o-rings and surfaces do not try to stop a leak by tightening the nuts.
