Radio Repair by Baris.

I just hooked up my repaired radio and can't believe how great this thing sounds, I got the amp upgrade. 45 watt amps instead of 20watts. I also got the 3.5 AUX jack. The AUX plug with MP3 player sounds great,CD player sounds great. And after some trouble with the antenna cable. I got it to work it also( Thanks John Zeiler) sounds great. What's cool is. It keeps all the radio stock with all it's functions. I would whole heartedly recommend Baris. He knows what he is doing. It took about 18 business days there and back.

Re: Radio Repair by Baris.

I too had the same issues on my 2006 LT. I opted to do the Jensen 2212 install. I have about $225.00 in it. I would have liked to have kept all the stock controls etc. but it wasn't a HUGE issue.
The Jensen has a lot of features and sounds awesome. I am just starting to realize that I might not be wealthy enough to be a BMW owner Thanks for the info!!

Re: Radio Repair by Baris.

James,

What issues where you having that prompted you to have you radio sent out for repairs? My issues started when one side of my speakers went out. I rode this way for a few years. Two speakers still sounded pretty good. Then one day turned on the system and music played for about a second then went out. Each time I turn on the radio the same thing. You know what they say about doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result? I am limited to listing to my Zumo 550 through my helmet. I want my music pumping through my bike again.

Re: Radio Repair by Baris.

My left channel was out. Amp was burned out. Rode with just right side speakers since I bought it in July 2012. Wanted stereo sound and better amps. Plus I wanted Aux for MP3 but now I got a Zumo 550. So with the Zumo it has both GPS and MP3 & go to 3.5 Aux thru the speakers. Very nice. With 45 watt amps.System sounds wayyy better. Worth every cent IMHO.

Re: Radio Repair by Baris.

Does anyone know if the radio cassette players are interchangeable in the 1999 to 2009 BMW K1200LT? I have a 2005 and it does not have the top unit. I assume it is some type of communication unit. Will this radio work in my LT? If I was to use this unit as in will all the functions work with my standard LT or would I have to remove the top unit? Really all I want is the radio. Please advise, I do not want to spend my money on something I cannot use.

Re: Radio Repair by Baris.

That one is a pre-05 as that is the old style intercom unit on top. The controller software may not be compatible with the dash display function of the 05 and up.
I would pass as well if that is the really early cassette player vs. the CD unit.
