WHAT IS A FAIR PRICE

Thinking about selling the 05 LT without these farkles

What would be a fair price for these items:

1) Jpegs
2) Mickopegs
3) Kontour drivers seat
4) Set of Ohlins that are 2 years old
5) garmin 660 with car and bike connections
6) Passenger foot boards
7) Air ride trailer by AST, ocean blue with LT tail light assy.
8) Ocean blue trunk
Thanks, Chris Ogle

We need Bike mileage and how many miles on the Ohlins ? Look up KBB for a better idea ,plus follow some ebay auctions for selling price. Odds are private sale will get you close to wholesale KBB value.

Re: WHAT IS A FAIR PRICE

I didn't explain myself very well. I was thinking about selling the farkles without the Bike. Then Try to sell the stock bike.

Others on this board thought that a buyer of the bike wouldn't be willing to pay the added stuff.
Sorry for the confusion.

Re: WHAT IS A FAIR PRICE

Have a look on eBay and the BMWLT Classifieds to see what those parts sell for. But trying to sell the bare bike without any farkles could prove more difficult than with it, unless you drop the price really low. Selling the parts separate may bring you 50-60% of the new price, but with the depressed market for LT's you'll need all the assistance you can get to make your LT attractive to a prospective buyer. A person buying an LT would normally want pegs, custom seat, GPS and perhaps floorboards. All these options and the trailer make your bike unique. Perhaps you should try and sell it complete with all farkles and the trailer and see whether there is any interest before you start breaking it up.

Re: WHAT IS A FAIR PRICE

if you look on ebay look at "completed auctions" not the silly prices people are asking.

The real prices is what people are actually paying.
