Replacing clutch actuation pressure hose, lower section

Hi All, My clutch pipe at slave end is leaking, is it possible to replace this clutch hose without too much work?

You will have to pull the wheel but you should be able to get to the bolts that hold the lines as they are on the side of the slave. You have to pull the swing arm to remove the slave. Not a lot of room to work in. The line here shows where the swing arm is in relation to the slave (picture is tilted from level).

I would first try to snug the fitting at the slave. You may get Lucky Laddie..

I had to replace mine too since it was heavily rusted. Not too bad once you get the swing arm out of the way. Seal up the top protector hose with silicone to prevent water from running down and rusting it.

I found that by removing the exhaust and crossmember I was able to undo the hose connection to the slave, not for big hands. The end of the hose has rusted but the leak appears to be coming from the crush washers which had been reused last year when I replaced the slave. For the moment I will replace the washers and test the pipe. Hopefully this will get me out of trouble.

I had one of the banjo bolts crack when I removed it once & it leaked like it was a bad crush washer.

Hmmm, as noted above. Hope it's a good outcome.

it is not necessary to remove the swing arm to replace this pipe, just a little tight to work but can be done.
