GPS dash mount

Can anyone tell me the name of the part/bracket that mounts to the stingray to mount a Garmin zumo 550 GPS. Like the factory unit does? About how much $$ is that part.

Re: GPS dash mount

You can go to MAX BMW parts fiche parts below. You will need to cut about a 1 inch hole for cable to come through. Parts are listed in accesories for 05-09 k1200lt Navigation

Or you can go to BMR and use the shelf system along with the universal adjustable mount they have. Much better IMO. I also used a Touratech locking mount with the shelf.

Re: GPS dash mount

Did the research just like you and like everyone else I went with buying a shelf. For a little more than the mount (unless you can find one used) you can buy a shelf and have way more room to put stuff on. If you got time, wait and see what comes up on ebay, I scored a RCU shelf for $60 on ebay:

So the deals are out there. But what ended up selling me on getting a shelf were the comments on the glare from mounting on the BMW mount and it made it hard to see. Where there was a lot less glare from mounting on a shelf.

Cheers,
Tross
