Bought used K1200LT number 3. This one is green/teal with 31,369(now 7/29/2018 54,143) miles and is an '02. The first 2 bikes made it to near 150,000 miles.

Due to heart health, the Dr says not to ride under 40 degree air temp. Ugh! Now it is harder to get my 18000 miles a year in just in the summer. Guess that stopped my 20 degree rides now.

Re: Screw Pitch

Just make sure whatever you select has a cone shaped end, so you will be less likely to cross thread.

I've spoke to these people through their website trying to find some special bolts for both my gs and vtx. They are good to work with and will try to find what you need. Their LT kit replaces the torx with hex screws, just fyi.

Andres gave you all you need. In metric threads this is a coarse thread M5 with 0.8 mm pitch. They don't do threads per inch like the SAE bolts. What you want in an M5, 0.8 x 14

The stock Torx screws are already Stainless, black coated.

One thing you do NOT want to do is thread uncoated stainless steel into aluminum! I do not remember if any of the fairing screws go into aluminum or not. If so, be careful. Stainless in Aluminum can gall easily, and you will have a big problem.

Re: Screw Pitch

Just be aware those have a much smaller head (much like the two on the tupperware at the oddimemnts box) than the original body panel screws. You may want to add washers to prevent pull through.
