change radio..

Hi. First sorry for my English. I write from Italy.

I have a problem with my '06 K-LT. The left channel of the radio/cd player don't work. I think that that one of the amplifier unit was dead..

Two question for You:
1) How I desassembly the LT for take the radio with my hand? There are a instruction for it? pdf,word..
2) I would change the radio with another model. Which can go well? manufacturer, model? there is something to keep the steering wheel controls?

Thanks and sorry again..

Re: change radio..

Baris puts bigger amps in the radio. It's boosted from normal 20 watts per channel. To 40 watts per channel. It should sound a lot better.

Re: change radio..

Before doing too much to replace your radio, check all of the wiring connections under the stingray (the large top section that the radio mounts into). Some are push/clip style and some are push/twist style. I have found loose connections more than once after having service done that required the removal of the stingray. It is easy to not make the connections fully or to sometimes forget them at all. If the connections aren't completely tight it can result in some unusual combinations of speakers not working.

Good luck!
