How accurate is your trip meter?

I'm wondering if mine is "special".

I went for a ride with a friend yesterday (him on another type of bike), we stopped fueled up, reset and took off.

When I hit 122 he was at 117... With my previous bike we almost always matched up.

I matched it against my GPS and it looks about 1 mile optimistic every 25 miles which matches up pretty close to the error I saw.

So, anyone else?

2% to 4% high is typical. 1 mile over 25 is 4%, so it sounds like yours is about "normal."
