Bearing stud for final drive

Once again I have mess things up. I was installing my newly rebuilt final drive and I cross threaded the left hand bearing stud. I took the final drive out and ran the bearing stud through from the back side. It did not help. What I need to know is what size the stud is so I can buy a tap to clean up the threads. Thanks again for your help.

24mm x 1.25 pitch thread. I got a good used pivot pin if those threads are bad now. E-bay & Amazon have the taps for between $45 & 50.

Does anyone know where I can source one of these taps here in the US? These are from China and they have a shipping time of anywhere from 10 - 20 days. Of course BMW uses an odd size thread on these. There are plenty of taps out there with 1.50 pitch but not many with 1.25 pitch. Thanks again.

Re: Bearing stud for final drive

Thanks Robert. I have on the way. If that doesn't work I'll buy a swingarm off Ebay. I sure hope this does work however.
