Deer

Deer are a very pretty animal
Deer are a very tasty animal
Deer are a very Deadly animal.

These 2 incidents happened this week here in SC.

Yesterday was coming back from an out of town job, as I was entering the interstate there was a group of about 8-10 motorcycles already on the highway....Then out of the corner of my eye saw a group of 5 or 6 deer trying to get across the highway. They ran right thru the motorcycles, not sure how it happened but both made it thru this encounter without a mark. I continued on to the highway and about 4 miles later at the next exit they were pulled over.....probably changing their shorts.

I know at this time of the year I really don't like to ride early or late in the day as that is the time when the deer seem to be on the move.

Be safe out there folks

Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me; I want people to know 'why' I look this way.
I've traveled a long way, and some of the roads weren't paved.

Re: Deer

I was recently told it is better to hit a deer at 85+ MPH than slower. Supposedly the person who did this was still in complete control of his bike, was able to stop normally, and accelerate the inevitable state of the deer with a bullet to the front half.

ew. ick.

A situation I'd like to avoid.
