Damm I love those batteries

for those who are unaware I had problems the past month with a 5 month old Odyssey PC680. i just received an email from ENERSYS the proud maker of said battery after I contacted them after the purchase of a new PC680 and as a sign of goodwill for my troubles they are sending me one of their charging units. Now if I get more than 5 months out of this one.....

Unhappy Re: Damm I love those batteries

Teddy,
I posted to your earlier thd and am glad your probs are resolved. Why did you purchase a new PC 680? My similar failure got me a warranty replacement. I had only to ask for a replacement. IMHO your's should have been returned, tested, and warranted also. You should be getting a new PC 680 (and maybe a charger!!!!)

Re: Damm I love those batteries

Thanks Bob. The battery was purchased by P.O. just prior to sale from a dealer in Va. I went to a store that sold them but they would not warranty it because it was purchased elsewhere. I needed a battery and couldn't play games (season is SHORT in NE).Enersys said to bring to a dealer which I did but... I told them any store that sells them should honor the warranty and they said it's Batteries+s policy not ours??wtf? well they are supposed to be sending me a charger which is better than a swift kick in the knuts...

Re: Damm I love those batteries

Teddy,
I wasn't aware your PC 680 was purchased by others from a distant source. Sorry if I came across as condescending.
My Odyssey failure was simple. I called my web source Battery Mart.com, got an RMA, shipped it back, they tested and replaced it.
I should also thank my BMW dealer, Falcone - Indy. They loaned me a battery to ride while I got my warranty claim sorted out.
