collision

yesterday a fella with a bad emergency brake rolled backwards down a slight grade rear ending my parked bike pushing it forward off the side stand, a Toyota 4 wheel drive no bumper, while it was on the ground he pushed it about 18 inches. I thought the worst but all that happened to her was bent left tip over bar with cap and chrome plastic piece broken. The tail light has a small hole on the bottom right side where his bumper support hooked in, it also scratched a bit of paint by the plate. I asked for and received the value of the new parts $750 Can. I am getting the last new tail light apparently in the world.
there was a little bit of red paint on the trunk which just scraped off with thumb nail no damage
old guy like me, told him he should get his brake fixed, did not want to lose the rest of this season with it sitting at a dealer so settled

TOUGH BIKE! Would have made a mess out my K100 or K1100

Re: collision

Good to hear about the minimal damage and that you were not hurt!

Hi Gary, from the great southern land, Oz.

Must say your cage driver was the lucky one, or rather his insurance company. I had a plumber reverse out from a line marked car space, swung around and knocked Beryl Beemer off the side stand (in the adjoining car space) with the front of his vehicle.

Lucky I was there (tennis courts/car park) otherwise you can probably be assured I would have come back to find Beryl on her side and no other vehicle in sight. That exercise cost him/his insurance company almost $A4,000 in repairs, repaint.

cheers
