Yep.. Final drive

What is the consensus of Final Drive Oil type?
Have done engine oil, soon final drive oil change..

Redline heavy duty shockproof. Used it for over 200k miles, change it every 10k.

I have had good results with Mobil 1 synthetic.
I don't think the lube is an issue as much as proper pre-load on the FD bearing.

Popeye likes Olive Oil.

I've used everything from BMW Ofishall synth to Walmrt supertech brand.
I like Walmrt tech, it is cheaper and tastes best.

Any 75W90 mineral gear oil that satisfies API GL5 is fine. Nothing special about the bevel drive, just make sure it is not over-filled.
