How do you use your Sena SMH10

Probably ditching the static riden Autocom and wires. Wondering how others have their SMH10 paired with GPS, iPhone 5, iPod and v1.

There have been lots of posts regarding the Sena SMH10 and IIRC they cover about everything you mention, with the exception of the V1, don't remember that one. I suspect you would have to add the SM10 for the V1. Lots of long pairing posts in the RT section.
Do a search for SMH10 and you will find more info than you can read in a week.

I hard wired the Zumo and Escort (now Beltronics after a downpour shorted the 8500) to the SM10; all 3 are on a BMR shelf. I paired the SM10 to both our SMH10 units and both SMH10 are paired for intercom.

90% music via Bluetooth
10% intercom communications

I prefer not to have additional audio signals in my helmet such as GPS, phone, etc.

All in all, no complaints with my Sena SMH10.

Take care,
Chris

Re: How do you use your Sena SMH10

I have my Zumo 550 hard wired to the SM10 which allows my passenger and I to listen to mp3 music and XM radio. The Zumo 550, which has Bluetooth, does not allow XM radio to be heard by Bluetooth directly, hence the need for the SM10 which also allows dual streaming so the passenger can listen to what I'm listening to. I then have my IPhone 5 paired to my headset and both headsets are paired for the intercom. Works very nicely but there is a long delay when you want to use the intercom. The SM10 also has an auxiliary port just for things like radar detectors to be hard wired into it. Very nice setup for not a lot of money. I rarely have a passenger but I always carry the other SMH10 unit in case the battery in my unit dies, which a takes about 9 hours. Unclick my unit and click in the fully charged spare, then the dead unit gets chared by the USB port in my bike's radio box. I know that the SMH10 can be charged while in use, I just don't want to be wired.
