Mixing Oils

I'm ready to do an oil change and have several different types of oils around, but not enough of any one to do it completely. I have some Spectro blend that is part synthetic and some full synthetic. Can I mix those together? I would think so, as the one is a blend to begin with. How about mixing regular oil with synthetic?

Re: Mixing Oils

In my opinion you won't have a problem.
Just as you normally would, keep the level up and check on a regular basis and you will be fine.

Re: Mixing Oils

Mixing the same "weights" of oil will not be a problem. You can mix syn and dino.

Re: Mixing Oils

You can also mix various weights of oil as long as you stay within what is required for the engine. Synthetics and regular oils are all compatible. The only thing I wouldn't mix is Pennzoil or Quaker State with anything that goes in my engine, but that's a personal choice based upon past experience.

Re: Mixing Oils

+1 on everyone else's posts. Oil = good. No oil = bad.
