Back on an LT, and Loving It.

Well, after riding GS's and other bikes, I'm back on an LT. Just picked up another 02', that has been well maintained, and has low mileage. These LT's just feel right! Is it just me, or does the side and rear views of an LT look far better than the K1600GTL? The full/flowing fairing on LT's really is a beautiful thing.

Gov't run healthcare, and we still call ourselves 'free'??? Keep your programs, I'd rather have Liberty.

Yes. The LT's a better looking motorcycle period. I get people asking me what it is, marveling at it all the time .Almost as much as my custom intruder. Wish they would come out with a K1600LT

Re: Back on an LT, and Loving It.

BMW needs to skip the 1600 on the LT and got straight to a K2200LT just to have bragging rights of the most powerful touring bike on the planet.

Currently riding a 2003 K1200LTC

Re: Back on an LT, and Loving It.

Many of us have been dreaming of a lighter LT with a wet clutch, a 6 speed transmission, and a larger engine - don't really care if it's a 4 or a 6; just make sure the cylinder heads are NOT on the left side so the bike won't smoke after being on the side stand...
If BMW would only listen...
The top case on the GTL is really fugly!

Re: Back on an LT, and Loving It.

I just finished a 3500+ mile trip to Colorado and all the way back, all I could think about was "what a great machine"!! I truly think it's the bike with the best in weather protection.

I think that if I reeeeeeally had to start out on a 4-Corners trip.....I could do it. I just love this bike.

Re: Back on an LT, and Loving It.

Glad to see you back in the world of LT's!! What a bike... The first one I ever had and very happy with it... It has flaws, but find a bike that doesn't. Still adjusting to the weight! heavy girl. I am only 140# all wet.

Happy trails....

Re: Back on an LT, and Loving It.

I couldnt agree more.
That is why I replaced my 01lt with an 04 after I sold the 01
just looks to me like the GTL (top case was an afterthought.) Though I am partial to the K1600 GT.
