Behold Pledge

Do you seasoned vets actually use pledge or behold to clean the whole bike and windshield or are you blowing smoke up newbies kiesters?

Re: Behold Pledge

I only use water and then only once a year or 2. Haven't tried Pledge or Behold.

Re: Behold Pledge

Some folks swear by it I have never used it myself. I like S100 & can be used all over the bike. The best part is after using it a few times the bugs come off easier.
Like Dan my bike gets washed every year or two weather it needs it or not.

Re: Behold Pledge

Pledge changed their formula about a year ago.

I have and still do use "furniture polish" to clean my bikes. And yes, it can be used safely on the shield.

Another product which is even better IMHO is "Protect All" which can be found in the RV section of your local box store.

Both work really well for general cleaning.

If you use the polish on your shield, spray it and let it sit for about a minute. That will help loosen the bugs. After using this on your shield, the bugs won't stick too badly.

Re: Behold Pledge

Yup, pledge works. And the lemon scented one even smells ok!

Re: Behold Pledge

The BIG problem with the lemon-scented Pledge is that it attracts the thousands. And they don't leave. And then they get angry. Don't ask me how I know.

Re: Behold Pledge

I get the premoistened wipes (in the little packs like baby wipes) and carry them on trips. I use them on the bike, the seats, my leathers and, well, that's enough information for now.
Very handy little buggers though.

Re: Behold Pledge

Behold, IIRC, has more wax in it than Pledge. Works great and a helluva deal at a buck a can, especially when Plexus is more than 20 time that... for a smaller can!
