BMW Synthetic Gear Oil??

Hey- still pretty much a noob here- quick question. Does BMW make a syn gear oil. I ordered an engine oil change kit and a quart of syn gear oil from A&S motorcycle accessories and they sent be BMW engine oil but the Syn was 75w-140 Castrol Motorcycle Gear and Final Drive Oil?? Does this sound right? I assumed i would be getting genuine BMW Syn?? Maybe I am totally confused and BMW doesn't make a syn motorcycle gear lube??

Re: BMW Synthetic Gear Oil??

Actually BMW does not make any oil, they just re-package what they get. For a while the BMW branded syn for gear lube was red. Most of what they use is Castrol.

I just changed final drive and gear box oil and used BMW branded 75/90 synth, must say transmission works so so much smoother, got it from dealer.
