Kind of a Stupid Question, but....

I want to remove the final drive on my bike before I head out for vacation on Friday, but our temps here in Minnesota are going to remain pretty cold until then. I need to heat the bolts to remove them, and my question is....

Will it damage the metal to heat it up when it's probably 25 degrees in my garage?

Re: Kind of a Stupid Question, but....

The only reason to heat the bolts is if they were installed with Loctite, which is a no no.

If that is the case you need to get them above 100 F.
