NSOB - (New Sh*t On Bike)

Just added some LED "here I am bonehead" lights and I've nearly completed a fibreglass blanking panel to replace my now redundant radio console.

This must be the 20th time I've had the tupperware on and off - I'm getting quite good at it, but I'm also over it.

So fetch her down here to Tassie, I'll be on the lookout for something that looks like a plasma cutter coing up the road towards me ! Ride safe.

Lookin good man. Nice job on the blank insert. How'd you make it? Hack up the original or from scratch?

I have to build one of those inserts as well. Was gonna use some mdf and fiberglass over it, then paint.

You've prob seen my stereo install vids, have to firmly mount the clarion CMS1 remote there.

LED's are good.

And kudos to Greg - the "here I am, bonehead" lights were his idea.

I used the original as a buck for a mould - I punched out the buttons and filled them with epoxy filler. Interestingly, the whole thing is actually CLEAR plastic pained black except for LCD window.

I used two pack latex for the mould material and then hand laid the glass.

Re: NSOB - (New Sh*t On Bike)

If one has no experience with making the mold and then the fiberglass piece, can one make a reasonable fiberglass piece?

I watched a couple of vids on UTube using carbon fiber--interesting.
