Load shed relay wire

Hi Folks,

I could really use some help here... Let me begin by saying that I just acquired a 2000 LT

that experienced the stater relay meltdown. I have replace the old relay with the upgraded

relay and repaired all the wiring that suffered damage. However, there is a black wire on the

load shed relay that was damaged, and I cannot find where this wire should connect to.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Re: Load shed relay wire

I will research but I would say it goes to the starter side of the starter relay. The load shed relay gets its ground through the starter and that would be the side I indicated as going out of the relay box to the starter motor.

Yup just checked the wiring diagram for a 2000 with the retrofitted starter relay. It shows the black wire from the load shed going to terminal 8 on the new relay which also feeds the starter motor tie point.
