Immobiliser fob

Just a quick question. If you change the battery in the immobiliser control fob do you have to get it programmed again or does it work as normal. Mine is starting too not switch the immobiliser off at times, and its doing a long run next week and I dont want to be left stranded.
Cheers Dave

Re: Immobiliser fob

If it was working before you changed the battery, you will not have to "reprogram". At worst it would be a resynch. Just hold the left button down for a few seconds (or is it press several times quickly) until the bike responds. You should be good to go.

Re: Immobiliser fob

If you are still having reliability issues try holding the FOB just below the top case latch. That gets it as close as possible to the alarm receiver. Could be RF interference. I am on my first FOB and battery from 04 still.

Re: Immobiliser fob

New batteries CR2032 go in my fobs each year at re-registration time. De-activate that immobiliser !!
