Now this is a Bike

Ok , so i am new here and now the proud owner of a 2007 K1200LT with 18,000 km , going in tomorrow for new tires, fluid's changed and new sintered pads , should i have main checked or just go in and replace as preventative measure ?
Are replacement main seals better than stock ones ?
Look forward to reading your answers ! and is there anything else i sould be attending to now ?

Re: Now this is a Bike

I would wait until you have a problem as to replace the main seal is about $1,200 worth of labor. Think of it as a clutch job without replacing the clutch. Hope your fluid change includes the brake fluid. Annual on the wheel circuits and bi-ennial on the control circuits. Helps the life of the ABS unit.
