Re: taller boots

James, before I retired we would have our boots double soled, it added height, custion and some heat resistance (from the ground) but these were on standard boots or equin boots not motorsport specific, Simon posted a good wed site for Euro boots with thicker soles/

good luck

Re: taller boots

Daytona boots are $500.00. (worth every penny I'm sure...)

Go to a custom cobbler near you and have your favorite riding boots built up as suggested. New Vibram soles and filler should not cost you more than $150.00 max - and no break in. I like Mayatur as an all around great compound that you can also walk in:

I had a local shoe cobbler replace the soles of three of my boots - he used the ?vibram? brand of boot sole, and it added +/- 3/4" to all six boots. If you decide to find a cobbler willing to do that, make sure he knows what boots are re-soleable - some m/c riding boots are a bear to re-sole. HTH.
