Top Box Latch

My top box latch broke on both sides and now I can't open my top box. Can anyone tell me how to open the box without doing worse harm. It looks like I can buy the billet aluminum latch as a replacement but the instructions have you open the top box first.

I would suggest (if you don't get an answer) contacting the seller of the latch for his input. I bought the fix-it-before-it-breaks kit from him and was very satisfied with the quality of his products. I'm sure he has seen this before.

Re: Top Box Latch

Open the plate and pull down on each of the broken legs. That should get it open. You will see the two levers that connect to the mechanism if you look up under the open plate.
