Protection from the elements ideas?

I moved to South Carolina and live near the ocean. Are there any ideas how to protect the beast from the salt air when not riding?

Park it in the garage or the spare bedroom?

They do make portable garages for bikes. They have a floor in them and seal up tight.

Could also use ACF50 to protect...... well, anything that's likely to oxidise. I live the width of a two-lane road from the North Sea and it works for me.

Re: Protection from the elements ideas?

I'm seven blocks from the ocean in Myrtle Beach and have been for 30 years. It may affect a few screw or nut heads but other than that have had no problems. On the other hand, friends who live within a couple of blocks of the ocean are eaten up by the salt air, appliances, vehicles, anything metal is fair game for the elements.

Would a self storage building be an option for you? I know there is a post on this forum about a storage option just big enough for the LT. Ride the bike in, close the lid and lock it inside. I just can'find the post.

Interesting point, I own several self storage facilities and I have a lot of folks who keeps bikes in units. Primarily it is because many if not most of the apartment and condo developments no longer allow any motorcycles on the property as a result of our annual Harley week and black bike week.
