Pulling trailer void factory warranty ?????

Question
I have a 06 K1200LT.
Thinking about purchasing a trailer for the bike.
Has anyone pulled a trailer and had the dealer void all or part of the warranty or not ?
I have talked with some dealers and get different answers.

Different dealers have given me slightly differing answers also. But, the bottom line seems to be that if they or BMW thinks the trailer exacerbated a particular issue and contributed to the problem then you are probably not going to get it covered.

However, there are tons of possible failures that would be covered regardless of trailering or not.

This is certainly a case where having a good dealer that you have developed a good relationship with would certainly help! One dealer told me they would simply remove the hitch prior to having a BMW rep inspect the bike!

In any event, the trailer can immeasurably increase the capabilities of the LT and make for one very happy pillion...wife...girlfriend...other! That alone is worth the risk.

I agree, warranty is only as good as your dealer!
