Gas Fumes

Rode my bike to work yesterday and gas fumes were so bad I could smell them as I was riding. Got home parked the bike, no leaks that I could see and none this morning but odor is still there, more so on the right side. Could this be the fuel line quick disconnects? Any other suggestions? The odor was so strong yesterday that it got in my cloths and to put them in the washer immediately.

Re: Gas Fumes

Pull the plastic on the right side, you will be able to see the quick disconnects right under the tank. Start the bike and see if you get a fine mist of gas coming from one of them. Chances are you have a small crack in it.

Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes it is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying " I'll try again tomorrow".

Re: Gas Fumes

It looks like I had some leakage on the right side, thought it not dripping now. As Sheldan said,it must have a small crack and produceing a fine spray when running. Can someone tell me what size QD that I need. My brother works for Grainger supply and I think they carry them.
