Unhappy Help Part Identification

Installing HID lighting, I removed the nose cone and heard a "clink" looked at the floor and saw a part that looks like a part ot a switch or some sort of tension spring. I cannot see where it goes. I have looked at the parts Fische with no lick. I am hoping someone has seen this and knows where it goes.

Pic attached

Thanks in advance for any info.

-Bob

Question

Is that copper? Hard to tell from that pic...but is that the ground bar for the ground wires of the headlights?

Thanks Joe

It is silver and may have taken on a reflection of a nearby object. If you suspect that it is that can you give me a hint of where it should connect? Since I did not remove the cover to the head lamp I thought it cam from the nose cone itself. I will also try to locate it in some pictures.

Thanks
-Bob

I just checked my manual...and though I have a pre-'05, I think that's a retainer clip off of one of your headlights. Probably the high-beam.
