Nope all was well. I don't have that bike any more but I loved it while I had it. The LT is an amazing motorcycle.

I took a corner like that on my old Harley about twelve years ago with the wife on board and she still HATES tight corners! Best not to do that with your partner on board, and with Harleys!

The photo is cropped there were probably 15 bikes on the track at the time. FORTUNATELY, we were required to wear protective clothing. The flames came later. At the BBQ. I highly recommend taking what you ride to an organised track event. I had a great time and learned stuff I would not have learned on the street. The best part though was the reaction from sport bike riders. They tended to get out of the way when they checked their mirrors to see over half a tonne of LT and Old Guy bearing down on them, stereo blaring classical music and and huge grin shinning through the face shield.

I rode the Dragon in the wet with three friends. My wife was on the back. And it definitely had a pucker factor. But my wife is awesome - she was taking pictures with the digital camera pretty much all the way through, and I was leaning into it pretty good.......

Re: Butt Pucker

They are fun! And yes we'll scrape the centerstand at times when 2 up.

The first attachment is just before the sparks started (it was the last of the series on the website and I heard the scrape). The 2nd was our Christmas card last year. The third with the R1200R was one I found at killboy.com, how's that for leaning?
I'd bet the first one looks really good from the other side!

It's odd. She's NEVER grabbed my love handles and nearly never the passenger rails on our previous bike or the grab handles on the LT. It wasn't until I started seeing the pictures from Deal's Gap and Blood Mountain that I noticed how relaxed she is back there! I love the one with her hands on her thighs looking up the road and through the curve.

The first attachment is just before the sparks started (it was the last of the series on the website and I heard the scrape). The 2nd was our Christmas card last year. The third with the R1200R was one I found at killboy.com, how's that for leaning?
I'd bet the first one looks really good from the other side!

After seeing those pics I now understand why my wife would like to have armrests. We did the Dragons Tail last year on my previous bike (Kaw Voyager) and she was NOT a fan. A lot of dragging the center stand. I try to go easy when she's on back and consider myself fortunate that she will ride with me.

Thanks,

I have worn a hole through my lower by playing on the back roads, but you have to wear down the center-stand first.
