Looking for a live wire!

No I don't need a new wife! What I want to do is to have the ability to switch the dash light on when the ignition switch is in the lock position. So is there a hot lead somewhere inside the upper faring? I can always run a lead but!!!

Thanks!

IMO, it would be sooo much easier to run a hot lead from the battery. (I can do it without pulling one piece of Tupperware.) Might-as-well "fuse it" while you're at it. Besides, I can't think of any leads that are HOT all the time, under the nose cone.

I guess I'll straighten out a coat-hanger and get started on fishing a wire run.

The right side of the tank...right in front of the battery, IIRC.
